English Variants minimizes data collection and only stores the information needed to provide core learning features:

• Learning progress. Locally stored streaks, quiz results, and favorite words.
• App preferences. Language selection, theme mode, audio, and haptic settings.
• Daily words cache. A small offline cache to reduce repeat downloads.

We do not collect personal identifiers, contact information, or location data.

2. How We Use Information

The information listed above stays on your device and is used solely to power in-app experiences, such as resuming a quiz or surfacing your favorite vocabulary. None of the data is transmitted to our servers.

3. Third-Party Services

English Variants does not integrate third-party analytics SDKs or advertising networks. Audio pronunciation files and illustration assets ship with the app and are played locally.

4. Data Retention and Control

All learning progress and preferences are saved with the app’s local storage. You can remove this information at any time by:

• Using the “Reset Progress” option inside the Settings screen, or
• Deleting the app from your device.

Because we never store your data on our servers, deleting the app fully removes your information.

5. Children’s Privacy

English Variants is designed for learners of all ages. We comply with child privacy best-practices by not collecting personal data and by keeping all learning progress on-device.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect product improvements or regulatory changes. Updates will be posted on this page with an amended “Last updated” date. Continued use of English Variants after a policy change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
